Carved in Time
The continuous motion of the waves carve their mark in the rocks, leaving a story of years gone by. Banksias stand their ground determined to survive another day.
Layers of acrylic paint, glazes, pencil and pastel were applied, and sgraffito used to carve the crevices and interest the rock possesses.
The use of varied shapes ,texture and the connection of line was important to me when creating this piece. A reflection of the natural and raw state of the area.
