Red Rock
My art making process begins with immersing myself within the surrounding landscape of my Primrose Park studio, and develops through use of plein air. This allows me to record my marks in response to the natural forces around me utilising coloured pencil, ink and acrylic paint. I use these impressions to produce abstract paintings bringing to life small pockets of landscape that often go unnoticed by passers by. My work serve not only to highlight the organic wildness of landscape but also the transference of energy from nature to person, of which Red Rock is a prime example.
