‘Bush Telegraph’ is part of an ongoing investigation into the beautiful calligraphy found on our Scribbly Gums. The fine lines are left by larvae feeding, I am captivated by their intricate scrawling… ‘What are they trying to say?’
Enthralled by the distinctive linework observed while on a residency in the Blue Mountains, I have continued to observe and study our incredible Bush and the obvious need to listen to our first nations, the true custodians, about the care of these wild places
We must heed the warnings and find ways to move forward with contemporary issues surrounding Bush management. The knowledge is all there, it always it always has been. The time to act is now.
