The Wild Goat of Walls Lookout
I heard a tale of a wild goat that traverses the rocky platform at Walls Lookout, but he/she had remained allusively unsighted on my first visit to this well known lookout. The reward for a reasonably rigorous bushwalk is arriving at the expansive rock platform that to view the expansive vista of the Grose Valley in the Hawkesbury.
It was on my second visit that I briefly spotted the wild goat in the distance amongst the bush grasses, a reminder of the introduced species that can damage our native habitat…cute as they may be.
