I Carry the Weight of a Thousand Seasons

110 X 70 cm, oil on canvas

$4200

While intentionally humble, this painting aims to identify and celebrate the beauty in the mundane. It’s a philosophical and spiritual lamentation of seasons and cycles, birth and death. It explores the duality of chaos and stillness we experience within ourselves and within nature. Living in a constant state of flux, we’re offered a rare glimpse of calm just out of reach beyond the tangled branches of the bush. We’re reminded of the disorder of our outer world, yet within lies a state of steadiness. Buried within each layer of leaf litter is the potential for regeneration.
