Despite our love of the bush, habitat loss in Australia is a major environmental issue.
We have a complicated relationship with nature, marked by habitat destruction alongside the creation of homes that use nature-inspired colours and décor. We often mimic nature in the very places where we destroy it. My work playfully investigates the idea of bringing native wildlife into our homes to aid in their relocation. Satin bowerbirds are renowned for decorating their bowers with all manner of blue objects collected from the vicinity of the bower
