Exploring the Creek

This work explores imagined landscapes, especially watery spaces—rivers, tides, pools, and creeks. I’m not painting real places but capturing a sense of movement and change. Water is both subject and method—fluid, unpredictable, sometimes still, sometimes forceful. I work in layers, often taking a piece too far before scraping back to find what feels right. Colour often happens by chance—leftovers, accidents, surprises. I’m not aiming for perfection but chasing the unexpected. That space between chaos and resolution is where the work becomes interesting to me.
