Freeform drawing with a brush, on square coloured paint samples seemed the most intuitive way to express my ideas around digital codes and random connections.
The paint sample cards are square, pixel shaped, the drawing comes from a chaotic spontaneous dream- world.
The images encompass myths from everywhere, but mostly stories, dreams, and unconscious images drawn from the places I have lived and loved: Zimbabwe, Mozambique, England, and now Australia. Each location leaves its unresolved questions and imprint. Strange forms and vibrant colours ask for dialogue with the viewer. My drawings are random connections, soul seeking. Jenny Orchard
