After a recent shearing, the sheep shone even brighter than usual, like a string of pearls glistening in the grass. Their quiet beauty and gentle nature captured my attention as they made their procession to their next paddock. The farm has been enjoying a period of good rain, yet the memory of the long drought and bushfires remain sharp in my mind and leaves scars across the country. With little time to process, and less time to prepare, like the sheep we walk blindly into the future. This monoprinted linocut comes from a plate that produced just 5 works in total, each with its own colourway throughout 4 layers.
